We didn’t expect so many people to try our demo. Thank you all so much!

The demo’s content is still limited, and some basic features and parts of the experience need more work. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll keep improving the demo while continuing development on the Early Access version.

What’s new:

1. Added a main menu. Some features are still being worked on.

2. Improved the in-game UI.

3. Added an option to quit the game.

4. Added initial crosshair feedback when firing. We’ll continue refining it.

5. Added basic breast physics. We’ll continue fine-tuning the movement to make it look more natural.

6. Improved the promotional images on the store page.

Thank you for trying our game at this early stage, and for your feedback and patience!

Hi everyone, I’m Yuanjie, the developer of Lone City.

Lone City is taking part in Steam Next Fest, and the demo is now free to download! The base game will remain free forever and will launch in Early Access on Steam on January 1, 2027.

What I most want you to try in this demo is playing in both first and third person.

I’ll admit, I wanted it all: the immersion of first person, a good look at the sexy girls in third person, and movement and shooting that feel good in both. Getting all of that working together has taken quite a bit of time.

But now you can finally try it for yourselves. Press N to switch between first- and third-person views. Personally, I’m pretty happy with how the movement and shooting feel, and I’d love to hear what you think once you’ve played. Of course, we’ll keep refining both.

The demo also includes graphics settings, a basic inventory system, and monsters. There isn’t a huge amount of content yet, though. The monsters are still fairly basic, and enemy sound effects and looting still need to be added. We’ll focus on improving these basics first, then gradually add more exploration and character interactions.

Two quick things to keep in mind while playing: if a small obstacle blocks your way in first-person view, try jumping over it. We also haven’t added an exit button yet, so for now, please use Alt + F4 to close the game. We’ll prioritize fixing these issues.

While I’m here, I’d also like to share a little about how Lone City came to be.

I have six years of game development experience, mostly working in Unity, and I also worked on Honor of Kings: ACE. I’ve taken plenty of detours while making my own games over the years, but I’ve never lost my love of post-apocalyptic settings. In May 2025, my teammates and I started building Lone City in Unreal Engine 5, so it’s only been a little over a year.

There’s still a lot I want to add: heading out to scavenge and fight monsters, driving a sports car through the ruins, then coming home to share a life with the girls you like. These are all things I want to gradually bring into Lone City.

I never expected so many people to be interested in it. The game is now on over 10,000 wishlists. Honestly, that’s been a wonderful surprise, and it makes me want to do an even better job.

I also want to be clear about pricing: the base game will always be free, and you won’t need to buy any DLC to play through the main story.

There will be an optional DLC, the Founder's Prestige Pack. Planned content includes third-person view, intimate interactions, hidden storylines, character and vehicle skins, and additional weapons.

Third-person view is available for everyone to try in this demo. Once Early Access launches, it will be unlocked through the Founder's Prestige Pack. If those extras interest you, feel free to take a look. Revenue from the DLC will also help support continued development.

Thank you to everyone who has put their trust in me. I want to finish this game, and I want to do it well.

If it sounds like your kind of game, come take a trip through this post-apocalyptic city, and consider adding it to your wishlist. If something isn’t fun or doesn’t feel right, please tell me directly in the Steam Community.

I’m Yuanjie. See you in Lone City.
