I am testing downsampling using GeDoSaTo right now, so I figured the extra kick and stability would be appreciated.
Also in general I don't like the notion of having the 2nd GPU sitting idle out there when SLI is active.
I think setting it to 'force alternate rendering 2' fixes it, but I can't be sure if its stable and efficient. Might make things worse.
I tried it with a 980 and it more than enough for 4k. You will need to edit an ini file to run the game at 4k. Instructions in my post > http://steamcommunity.com/app/376300/discussions/0/487876568225935917/
Besides what's your problem? Every game nowdays should support SLI. It's not there for nothing. I am sure its a matter of making a simple profile.
Just to put this out there, you do not need to edit anything to run the game on 4k if you have a 4k monitor. The game just runs at 4k if you set it to desktop resolution. If you want to down sample with DSR or whatever you are using then yeah you'll need to edit the .ini
I'm sure you'll be surprised to what SLI users have to say about latest Ngreedia Drivers and business practices.
And i'm also sure that you know that you represent a minority of the gaming community.
Honestly I haven't visited the geforce forums lately.
Although most games nowdays work with SLI, though some not as efficently as others. Also some of the late Nvidia drivers have been less stable than before I agree. I have had reduced performance in TW3 which I play with SLI at 1440p (runs very heavy of course).
Whether it's stable or not remains to be seen.
You need to go to Nvidia Control Panel, Manage 3D Settings.
Add Guilty Gear Xrd Sign's profile.
Then change SLI Rendering Mode: to force alternate frame rendering 2.
This seems to get both cards working together. Load is shared, so instead of 80-90% usage with 4k/5k (downsample) - it is now 40-60% on each card.
Will test it with and without it.
It is defintelly a fix alright. (though I rather have Nvidia release something official)
