Anyway, super excited about the game finally coming to PC, will make sure to buy on release!
IF this found its way to Mac or Linux, I think crossplay would have a chance.
In the meantime, this is still awesome to finally see this on steam. Thanks for the early x-mas gift!
Mike Z from Skullgirls touched on this. PS3/4 can crossplay because Sony will allow you to use their servers but no PC crossplay because then you aren't allowed to use Sony's servers.
Street Fighter V is using Capcom's personal servers.
Lab Zero is an idie dev team of like 8 people that rely on other companies and backers to make their games. They don't have the same resources on hand like Capcom.
I just hope this game can get a decent community going on PC. Most fighting games are dead on steam sadly.
People are there and willing to play, but it doesnt mean they are gonna sit and wait all the time in-game.
Also to the earlier comment. Blazblue:CT was crossplay with X360
