And when using a laptop, it's definitely worth double checking that it's actually using your dedicated graphics card.
• Open "3D Settings"
• Select the tab named "Global Settings"
• The top option in the form of a drop-down box should read "Preferred Graphics Processor:"
• Make sure "High Performance NVIDIA processor" is selected, and not "Auto Select"
This is the most standard way. Some systems still revert to using the integrated graphics, but give this a shot before trying anything else.
I was able to find this and correct it. Now it works like a charm. I tried finding this several times before I even made the post, but now I'm back up to a delicious 60fps and it's working like a dream.
