Need Advice From Keyboard Players
I've been playing GG since x2 with keyboard but still having trouble with moves like 632146 (Exp: Ky - Ride The Lighning) or moves that require holding (Exp: Potemkin - Hammer Fall). Its not that I cant perform these moves I just cant perform them fast and always drop combo when I try to use them.

With moves like 236 I realize that mashing 26 would do but dont know what to do with the above moves.

i thought that playing on the keyboard is easier for combos - for me playing on the controller is also really difficult some combos are not responding as they should be so i dunno

i have no experience with controller but i though the thumbstick would be much better for combos

also the keyboard doesnt have that good response either

I find that Xrd is a lot more forgiving for the timing of these tension inputs than previous Guilty Gears. My advice, just keep practicing

The game doesn't recognize 26 as 236. You need the 3 in there for it to come out.

For half circle moves, you just gotta practice. I learned keyboard on KOF13, which requires really fast inputs. It's possible.

As for using controller, I actually like using the analog stick over the d-pad. I don't use controllers anymore, but if I went back, that is probably what I would use. Or I'd get one of those SNK pads with the microswitch thumbstick.

Keyboard player here too. 632146 moves can indeed be quite nasty if you need to do it really fast. All I can suggest is to practice.
Personally I can perform 412364 way better and if i can do that, I can do the 632146's too with practice.

Also no idea what keybindings you use but judging of you saying that you ''mash 26'' I believe you just mash S and D? 26's dont exist; your mashes just create a 236 every once in a while which does exist a.k.a. the QCF.
To do a 236 (qcf) consistently means you need to be still holding S (if ever so slightly) when starting to press D and releasing S when D is being pressed.
Sounds rather complicated but it's actually a very easy motion, like finger tapping on a boring day with 2 fingers where your middle-finger touches the table before your index finger does.

Thanks for the advices

Personally i can perform 412364 perfectly too but with 632146 when i tried to do it fast as i turn on the display the 4 goes missing maybe i really need to practice on that

And yes mashing 26 i mean mashing S and D i know to get 3 i need to hold both S and D but its just my bad habit and im trying to get rid of it but thanks anyway

Oh and im just curious that what keybindings are you guys using?

For keybindings I prefer WASD with jump being W obviously.
For the rest: Y (Punch) 7 (Kick) 8 (Slash) 9 (Heavy Slash) U (Dust).

Keyboards make some things easier but a fair bit of stuff more tricky and some of it downright impossible (sup, Tager?), especially with a delay induced laptop keyboard.

That's one of the problems I had on keyboard and hitbox for way too long. It's easy to do it fast and have the 4 not register on its own. I actually never beat this, despite spending so much time in training mode trying to build better muscle memory. It's one of the reason I just said fuggit and switched to stick(but not the only reason).

For example when i play with slayer, 632146S+RC+214K is doable on keyboard, but i am playing with keyboard for 10 years.

The one technique you need to have as keyboard and hitbox player is the rolling of your individual finger inputs.
