start screen zoomed in cant play

I loaded up the game to play evrima for the first time and my screen due to my resolution is zoomed in to the top left of the screen like to the point that the only 2 things i can see are play game and settings, the issue im 99% sure is the default resolution being set for a lightyear level pc BUT due to it being zoomed I cant apply any of the settings because the apply button is in the bottom right of the screen any fixes? i've waited years to get a pc to play this and am at my wits end lol

Reset the game settings:

- Verify the game in steam

- Delete your Config folder to reset all settings (Do this every time after every major Update or change of version)

How to Delete the Config folder

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults, may also improve performance
8. Start the game.

Note: Hitting 'Apply' in settings when you have your Dino loaded in, may help as some settings may get stuck, could help with performance

- Also if you haven't in awhile Update your GPU Driver (use the manufactures website) and Windows OS to the latest versions each

mine has the same issue. i've restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted config folder, verified the game in steam, updated drivers and just about everything else. I'm starting to feel like there's nothing else to do. i've played it before and it used to work just fine. after a few months of being away and coming back to the game with friends, i cant seem to play because everything at the main menu is so zoomed in. any other ideas on how to fix this issue?

If you can, go into the Nividia Control Panel (or the AMD equivalent) to alter the resolution for the game, see if that helps

Could try this

Right click the game in steam go to properties and click on set launch options then type

-w 1920 -h 1080 (change the numbers depending on the res you want)

and save the setting

Appreciate the response Khanivore, but that did not work for me.

The below is what worked for me:

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Click the address bar at the top.

8. Open the "GameUserSettings" INI file.

Once in GameUserSettings.ini you should see the following under [/script/theisle.tigameusersettings]

ResolutionSizeX= ***
ResolutionSizeY= ***
DesiredScreenWidth= ***
DesiredScreenHeight= ***

I went ahead and changed mine to the below:

ResolutionSizeX=1920
ResolutionSizeY=1080
DesiredScreenWidth=1920
DesiredScreenHeight=1080

Go ahead and change it to your required resolution and relaunch the game.

To note on your guidance above Khanivore, after deleting the config folder, the resolution just stayed on 3480 x 2160

This worked for me, I set the following in "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini"

Line 12: ResolutionSizeX=1920
Line 13: ResolutionSizeY=1080
Line 14: LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1920
Line 15: LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080
Line 248: ResolutionSizeX=1920
Line 249: LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1920
Line 250: LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080
Line 253: ResolutionSizeY=1080

Then start the game.

I just changed the resolution in the settings of the game in the main menu. Couldn’t see if my mode was over the apply button. I just spam click my mouse cursor on the bottom right corner of the screen until I hit apply n it worked 🤣🤣

^ I later discovered if you Hit F11 it puts the game into windowed mode so you can then have access to the Resolution setting :/

So I can't confirm this will work for every body, but I'm having the same issue and I thought to try and plug my tv into my PC seeing it was the same resolution as the resolution the game was stuck on, whilst doing that I unplugged and then plugged back in my monitor and boom it worked, I was able to change the resolution to my screens native resolution and so far so good, hope this helps
