The Isle

The Isle

"Could Not Decompress Shader Group With Oodle."
Well, I don't know what to say. I've been playing this game for some time and took a break. When I tried to launch Evrima I received the following message:

"Could not decompress shader group with Oodle. Group Index: [...] The CPU (13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K) may be unstable."

I have a LOT of other games that I'm running through Steam. To see if I was legitimately having issues, I fired up 14 (about) other games. I had NO issues with ANY other game.

I even went as far as updating my BIOS and the Intel driver's to be sure, then uninstalled The Isle completely and then reinstalled. After all this I verified game integrity and made sure my 4080 had the latest drivers. I then took my i9-13900k CPU out and inspected it for damage, but none was found. I even set the voltages to intel defaults to make sure (i've never overclocked) and didn't see any changes.

This is now the ONLY game I can't play in my entire library. **Edit** I reasonably can't test all 107 games in my library, but I have about 14 installed and ready to go at any time

MSI Z790 Edge
Intel i9-13900k / Corsair CPU Water Cooler
Corsair DDR5 5600 64GB Ram
4080 Super
Windows 11 Pro

Is a known UE5 issue with 13th and 14th Gen Intel, particularly with i9's, but can be i7's as well, some have fixed it by under-clocking the CPU to make it more stable, may have to Google that one
