ExampleDeviceProfileSelector failed to load

If you are getting the ''Plugin 'ExampleDeviceProfileSelector' failed to load'' error then reinstall your game making sure your steam installation path has been wiped clean. you can do so by following these steps bellow :

Open steam and go into your library , Right click on The Isle and select Properties.

Go into the LOCAL FILES tab and click on the ''browse local files'' options.

Once you are in there , simply delete everything. Go back into your steam library and Right click - Uninstall The Isle.

You can now download it again , and restart your computer before launching it.

Branch not visible?

Restart Steam if your branch is not visible within the beta selection tab, you may need to do this multiple times. Otherwise you'll need to clear your Steam download cache:

To do this, click "Steam" in the upper left hand corner, settings, downloads, and then "Clear Steam download cache". It should restart steam where you'll have to log back in.

Servers not visible

Generally this'll be related to your anti-virus/firewall software, often the best thing to do is to add a firewall exclusion for The Isle's folder located within your steamapps directory.

Game not Launching

1.) Download https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/723315774344921138/723316061327589437/vcruntime140_1-1.zip

2.) Copy the third file (Vcruntime)

3.) Open Steam

4.) Right click The Isle

5.) Click Properties

6.) Click local files

7.) Browse local files

8.) Paste the file you copied earlier in the file that opens up

9.) You're good to go, try relaunching.

Fatal Errors

Try the solutions above, if those fail, make sure your version of Windows is fully up to date!

REGARDING THE ERROR 258, game currently works only in windws 10 + updated VGA drivers(cause of the water mechanics behind it), and your hardware specs must meet the minimal requiremets, I was having this issue also cause I was on win7, as soon I installed win10, no more errors showed up,

Doesn't work. My computer blocks it, not a secure link. I tried reinstalling the game and updating it. I still can't play Evrima. Any suggestions?

Hey guys. Concerning the fatal error issue everyone is having. Had the same fatal error problem for multiple days. Found that uninstalling the most recent windows 10 update before the problem started (mine was the security one on the 13th) fixed it immediately.

Why do i get no servers found when i want to join a game

I just keep getting a fatal errot (something about "Line 258", it ends with "INVALIDARG"). What is causing this? My computer cannot update windows anymore for some reason (it's Windows 10), it goes through the update process but when it loads up, it says "update failed" or something along those lines, nothing seems to fix that.

There's no way to play without updated windows? My computer is apparently outdated a few years, at least, since it randomly stopped updating and refused to a while ago. The computer does meet the minimum requirements (it exceeded them when I got the game, and it can run ARK: Survival Evolved with minimal to no issues). I think my drivers are updated, I've checked through everything in Device Manager.

(EVRIMA) When I join a server, I get a blackscreen. It doesn't matter which server I join. This happened after switching versions. It worked fine yesterday (before I had switched versions).

I deleted the save folder, and no success.

i cant play eitehr evrima nor LEgacy ..
on legacy i get time out ? ... idk



i updated all graphic driver and such ..
i did install v++ redistributeable on my own ..
i deleted everything there was from the isle, even cleaned up registry ..
after all taht i did restart my PC and downloaded only evrima.

it still dont let me in.

I try and join a server and the game crashes 100% of the time. I just optimized my laptop last night to get rid of the stuttering audio of the game.
