Please fix this.
Thank you.
Bad widescreen view, roughly dual monitors. Note that the viewable width of the game remains the same where it should increase while the vertical viewable distance is halved: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197998884446/screenshot/943959157658118603
Bad view, roughly 2.5 monitors/screens wide (eyefinity limited the width to somewhat less than normal width for some wierd reason) Notes the same issue occurs, the viewable width remains the same, and the viewable height shrinks. impossible to see anything above the character: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197998884446/screenshot/943959157658130251
Normal View/Reference: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197998884446/screenshot/943959157658107739
What it should do, and pretty much any game does, is increase the pixel rendering width, not strech/crop the view. ie: if my center screen looks like the 'normal' view, then it should look exactly the same on that screen if extended to monitors on either side, and show more panoramic, even if it is somewhat distorted. (distortion or periferal screen strech is an effect added to some games. not all of them do though (i'd prefer not to have this effect))
The view already seems a bit restrictive, esp since there is no first-person view (that i've not yet found if there is one)
The simple fix: Turn off your secondary monitors(just this one time, no more after) and then launch the game, change your video settings to be the size of your primary monitor(you will notice its still set to your largest resolution still), save changes and exit the game. I turned on my secondary monitor to test if the game would flip back to it and it did not. So I relaunched the game and it worked fine after that!
EDIT: Sorry for necroposting, but this topic never seemed to have found an answer and a lot of people got frustrated trying to get it to work and this is what worked well for me.
