Pending connection failure
Well I can't join any online games since the last update.
I can host games and the game runs smooth etc...
Its not a fire wall/port issue. With or Without the firewall active I get the same exact message. "Pending connection failure" " Your connection to the host has been lost."
I've tried many different servers and game types, but still get the same results.

Every other game/app I have, works 100% fine on the net.
So did The Isle for the past 3 years+ until this update.

I'm also getting the out of date issue now since some severs are showing 0.1.51.9 and im still on .8 but this is not the issue, since my connection failure has been happening when all the servers were saying 0.1.51.8

What anti-virus/firewall program do you use? Also have you tried flushing your DNS?
Iron-Clad Dec 30, 2018 @ 10:37am
Just the windows defender firewall, and AVG for anti virus. I didnt try the flush.
So I tried that all before I replied
turned off FW
turned off AVG
Flushed Dns with ipconfig /flushdns
still same exact problem. :(

The Isle update was the only change to my system
no new hardware, no new software
never changed any settings or tweaks to the game / system

Heres a ping test using meter.net

I've got the same problem but I have the 0.1.51.9 version. Yesterday everything was fine but today it's not :)

I did the .9 update, never ran the dev branch b4. Same exact problem as b4.

If you're getting outdated servers it means you're trying to join the wrong server. Join servers with the same version. So if you're on dev branch join The Official Dev servers.

No it's not the outdated server thing. when I upgraded to .9 I only try to join the .9 servers. It's still the original problem shown in the pic.

I don't have an exact answer...
But i know the problem.
When they switched to a newer version of the Unreal Engine, some of the ports it uses where changed.
Certain people whom have non standard internet setups, conflict with those ports and prevent you from connecting to the servers.
It's not The Isle's issue and most likely not under Dondi's control.
If you have Star Wars battle front II or another game that uses the same UE or above, you will have the same problem.
This is 100% the issue, but i can't tell you exactly how to fix it.
Just mess with your ports and internet software and you might fix it.
It works for me now but i did lots of changes from a year ago
I cant say "this" was reason, nor give u a list of changes
just came back one day and boom it worked
GL!
