Lack of fish

I have been in a large pond all by myself with no other players.

I occasionally see a frog and schools which spawn but no larger fish.

There was a server restart and then the lake was populated but 6+ elites but since then I haven't seen any. Another restart and no fish spawned so it is very inconsistent.

Is there a way to assist with the spawning eg rest on the bank near the lake ect?

Im currently down to 17% food and its been a struggle.

You may have to migrate before you actually starve, sometimes your luck runs out
