How can I play The Isle Evrima with high FPS?
I've been playing The Isle for a while now and I've tended to stick with Legacy, however, recently I've wanted to play Evrima, it has more controls and everything and it's far more developed and far more appealing.

Yet I'm unable to play, usually, I play with 190 ping, I live in South Africa so that's pretty normal for someone like me who's playing on European servers, it doesn't bother me because the lag isn't that bad at all and it's still enjoyable.

But when I play on Evrima my lag is atrocious, it's shown that my FPS is very low and that's quite likely the problem, I don't see how it could be my ping since I play fine on Legacy.

My problem is that I just don't know how to fix it, and it's very frustrating, if anyone can help me it would be very appreciated.

How to Improve Performance:

Just a few things that may help some with performance (wont help in all setups)

1. Delete your Config file, this will reset settings/controls and may improve performance:

Open file explorer > put %localappdata% in the ADDRESS bar, press enter, then find The Isle folder (the isle game should NOT be running) then > Save folder then > Delete Config > restart game

2. When you change graphics settings in almost all cases restart the game for it to stick and have the best effect

3. Settings that should be turned on in 'AA & Super Resolution', if you have an RTX Card always turn ON DLSS, for all other cards turn ON TSR (Medium or High)

4. Low end cards turn OFF any lighting effects in 'Global Illumination', also reduce Shadows, Effects, and Materials to medium or low. You can keep Textures High as its dependent on Video RAM if at least 6GB is available

5. Update Windows OS and your Graphic Card fully

Depending on Brand of Graphics Card follow the links

Nvidia (choose your setup first) - https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
AMD (select your graphic card) - https://www.amd.com/en/support

Thank you for the advice! I'll see if any of this works :D

More powerful hardware is the only real answer. Your ping requires more powerful internet and frankly without going into a long discussion about the why the further in the southern hemisphere you live the worst your ping will forever be unless the server is located in your local area (Australian based server for Australia, South American based server for South America, African server for Southern Africa). Driver updates can fix graphical glitches and errors but if your baseline setup runs theIsle poorly a software based update isn't going to change that.
