With UE 5 upgrade Shouldnt LOD be better?

So I noticed the graphics are roughly the same as before. With the Nanite update shouldnt the grass draw distance be much further with their new LOD draw distance enhancement? I know it works on trees and foliage, so why on epic can I see no grass after 50 yards?
@Devs are you guys going to enable that function? Seems like its disbaled for foliage, but for trees and grass the LOD range is on epic.

i can barely run the game on 30 fps with a 1080 the game just needs some performance updates

I am using a 4080 so I can run everything full tilt, just notice the LOD range is still there.

well they might add a setting once gateway drops

UE5 was added but not the nanite thing, so ya, grass still is the same, disappears at a certain distance. Hopefully the nanite thing will fix that

The use of nanites has been partial implemented in Spiro (the current map), you can see it at work with trees as they now render very far out, but its not being used for grass just yet, full nanite and lumen implementation will come with the new Gateway map that will soon be released
