As for players, they will either be at the migration zone, or at South Plains!
AI is currently majorly busted. They don't move/interact, they just scream and sit in place & only spawn in highly populated areas (making the hot spot issue worse). If you want any semblance of survival or just general player interaction go to east or southern plains.
This was apparently done for performance reasons, but it really messes up the distribution.
Is this true/still the case?
Can anyone confirm?
It would explain why my dinos are not seeing AI, I don't do much stopping as a baby until I find my first meal...
It is true, on low population servers at least.
Idk about crowded ones.
I’m a server owner and i see from a dozen to 30 AI around me even as a Herbivore on my low pop server.
But they don’t spawn as close as you might think.
For a scale example: if you are at the small Dam at Highlands, there can be up to 30 AI around you, but they will be across all Highlands.
So you still need to search for them.
Why is the beach south of the rail empty every time?
If you are right, it's because I didn't stop moving.
I'll go give it 10 tries and see what happens.
The game in it's current state encourages doing nothing.
