and yes, you can drink from shallow spots, but that makes deino useless. deino too powerful, people drink from shallow or glitched spots, then people think the less opportunity make deino balanced where if it was in the first place people wouldn't drink from shallow spots.
Try playing beibi and scouting the rivers if you have a hard time figuring out safe places to cross or drink.
This honestly sounds about right. People say skill issue but I disagree.
If you nerfed crocs ability to grab they would be compeltely useless and there would be no point playing them. Bear in mind a beibi grows ALOT faster and is alot more interesting to play in water if you just want to zoom around. If a full grown croc would be unable to grab other dinos, it would be stuck to eating fish and doing nothing else (well sure it could grab juvies but they don't give any meaningfull food to an adult). The only way a nerf to crocs power would make sense if you double their land movement speed and reduced their insane stamina usage on land so they'd be less water locked. Their thirst going down fast on land would still force them to stay relatively close to water.
It already requires almost perfect positining and foreplanning to drown an adult with a croc. If they have to dash to wherever you are crossing or drinking from, they will likely not have enough stamina to drown you if you are paying attention and trying to escape once they grab you.
The croc game is to wait and ambush ...sometime hours without getting a change to get a big kill. I sometime kill 1 or 2 big kills per night. Its all about following other dino screams, waiting for them to drink or cross. This is a patience game.
People who get killed by croc are new players (they are getting caught few time, like I did) and player too lazy to cross at safe spot.
While playing a omni with a gang will give give 15-20 kills per night, you will get 1-2 kills per night while playing a croc. This is the hunting pleasure.
Croc are harmless on the ground since they are too slow. In the water yes they are dangerous ... so people want them harmless there as well?
Removing the grabbing power of a croc would make them useless and remove the fear or water, which is AWESOME in this game. When I play other dino, only the water scares me now. Remove this fear ...and the game will get boring fast.
They are perfect in my book ...
So what are you doing here following discussion then?
