Can they bring back choosing where you spawn?

Maybe they should let you just teleport to that sPecIfIc pLacE of yours so you're not inconvenienced at all? God forbid you walk in a game about walking, right?
They should also spawn a fresh corpse near you every few minutes so you don't have to look for food, right?

Yes I really want to spawn on the complete opposite side of the map where nobody is, there no ai so theres no food and you have to spend 10 minutes going to populated areas to hopefully find food and not starve to death. You sound stupid your straw manning my complaint to make it seem like im asking for something crazy.

Your very presence in a random spawn forcing you to travel makes the game better and more interesting for others playing the full map, hotspots are a cancer, saying this it would be nice to increase server populations much higher one day, they are now using 120 pop servers in officials which is nice but imo still far too low, playing in community with 200 pop is an option for now

This is to create a sensation of relevance to the growing phase. The only scenario that is currently bad, is the lack of animal spawns in some relatively dead zones. For beginners, this can mean spending 2-3 growing phases simply starving.

But on Herra, I can literally spawn anywhere and get to the southwest plains every 4/5 lives with relative ease.

Just make sure you don't pick a dino that can only (reliably) eat other players. Until you get comfortable restarting a few times.

If everyone could select their spawn, some zones will be completely abandoned.

you talk about 'death zones'...you are right but not always!!...there are 'deadzones' but if you are near a watersource'.....pretty sure there will be AI!!.....i did cross the map all NW to NE...going to beaches to south plains and even the delta......i never got to swamp.....too much swimming or slow walks that messes up our stam!....but AI is everywhere!!!

Part of this is intentional. To find your friend you need to 1 call, thus alerting others to your presence. Also, AI is spawning like crazy now. I have no idea how anyone starves anymore.

check the community servers for better spawn rates would be my suggestion.

Its insane, Ive never seen this much ai on the isle in any version of the game. North plains had ceras a pack of dilos and 2 pack of raptors (us)...even the crocs where eating the deer and boars...some ai were invisible but still leave foot prints and can still be eaten .

not sure if you play EU/american servers....but if the ping is ok...try to join

some servers do have it!!....keep looking out for them.....yeah ...i know ...i'm 'promoting' 1 server (just it has what i want.no mixpacking allowed).

so if you need help....or new at this game.....join DySTopiaServers!
it is an american server but while i'm from EU.....the ping isn't too bad.....like 95...and my fps is 100-110
so even EU ppl could play it.

The only time Ive found Ai was during a server restart where it actually spawned them

Preds should have a much harder time finding food than herbs. Choosing spawn location is lame. Not every baby dino should survive.
