I'm not very tech savvy, I'm trying to play the stress test for the 6.5 update.
Could anyone help me fix this error?

I hadn't updated my Windows 10 in a long while, once I updated to latest version it worked.

Not sure what else might be the problem on your end. Maybe some outdated hardware that doesn't fully support dx12?

Maybe? this is quite a new laptop though, I got it in 2020.

updated drivers,
already have DX12,
system up to date,
there is no command line in game launch options...

still wont start, idk what kind of new hardware would i need for this game now...nut i know i dont have that kind of money. :(

how do you update your windows because it says im on directx 12 i have 12_1 and below and im on windows 11

Same error, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and now it works. Restart your computer too.

so I also solved the issue for me aswel (with help)l. So just as others have said you need to update to dx12, (whether your potatoe can do it depends on what your running (don't get mad this is coming from a fellow potatoe user)). now what I did was update my nvidea driver from the actual site, instead of through Geforce experience (has always been terrible for me).

That is correct. The 'solution' to the problem at hand is 'get better hardware'. DX11 and earlier support has ended for future builds of Isle, from what I've been told by developers in DMs.

So now they are going to FORCE us into spending MONEY maybe hundreds just to play their game!??!!? Like wtf. I would much rather play another game. Maybe get Path of Titans if that means not having to deal with game crashes in The Isle. I already spent money on this game and I am not doing it again.

I thought I had the correct hardware though? I have GeForce GTX 1660 TI and intel(R) UHD graphics 630. When I check my system stuff, It says "directx version: 12" so i think i support it?

I'm not sure why or how to fix this issue, When I believe my hardware is up to date and fine.

I know the hardware is up to date and fine and that it can run the game because it’s running fine on an identical computer sitting right next to it.

had to re do it... BUT, this is the solution. make sure windows IS updated to 22H2 (last win 10 update i guess)
