DX12 is not supported on your system.
"DX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument."
I'm not very tech savvy, I'm trying to play the stress test for the 6.5 update.
Could anyone help me fix this error?

so I also solved the issue for me aswel (with help)l. So just as others have said you need to update to dx12, (whether your potatoe can do it depends on what your running (don't get mad this is coming from a fellow potatoe user)). now what I did was update my nvidea driver from the actual site, instead of through Geforce experience (has always been terrible for me).

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

but there does seem to be multiple ways to fix

Does this mean we won't be able to play The Isle Evrima when the update launches?

That is correct. The 'solution' to the problem at hand is 'get better hardware'. DX11 and earlier support has ended for future builds of Isle, from what I've been told by developers in DMs.

I thought I had the correct hardware though? I have GeForce GTX 1660 TI and intel(R) UHD graphics 630. When I check my system stuff, It says "directx version: 12" so i think i support it?

I'm not sure why or how to fix this issue, When I believe my hardware is up to date and fine.

Upgrade your drivers, if it’s a laptop with both built-in and external graphics, you need to make sure it starts the editor with the external graphics. How that’s done, depends on your laptop

I have the GF65 Thin 9sd msi laptop and have made no adjustments to it. How would I check and make sure it starts with the editor?
I think i've updated the drivers, I downloaded the NVIDIA GeForce experience and downloaded the updates.

Open the windows search bar, type "dxdiag", and check your graphics cards. From my experience, the Intel 630 will *not* activate for Isle whatsoever and instead dump the majority of the load on your GeForce card, so checking the "render" tab in the dxdiag tool will show you your direct3d ddi level and supported feature levels; if you don't have direct3d ddi 12 and a supported feature level of 12 or higher, you will not be able to run the game in 6.5.

It says my Direct3d ddi is 12, And my feature levels are 12_1, 12_0, 11_0 etc.

I don't understand the issue?
I should be able to run the game then?

I actually got this issue fixed.
It was the same error, even tho dxdiag said I already have Direct X 12

I hadn't updated my Windows 10 in a long while, once I updated to latest version it worked.
