How many times are you going to say 'just send a report' 'use admins' or 'Teutonic didn't have this problem'?
Mhm. Your point?
I think you do.
Balance is what makes a game's environment and meta. The lack of balance towards "survival related stuff" in a survival game is what rules were created patch up. Congrats, you confirmed my point in a round about way.
That is a bit of a leg-up and nothing you could do on the actual server haha, but the devs were ok with that I guess?
I do remember that (in legacy) admins were policing it so players couldn't use it to mess with the normal game play (even tho players can do that with their own 3rd party chats but to a lesser degree). Location dropping, player IDing etc.
Is this still the case in evrima? If so, they're just reducing the workload for admins I guess. Not having to watch both chats (that rly the same thing only one is in-game only) haha.
The discord is deemed more important then global chat if they gotta lose one?
In game global chat for legacy for tuetonic was fine. It was direct. You had egg offers that wernt posted on discord. You had people asking for respawn eggs. You know, realisme actually done right via rules that keeps the game fun?
Theyr not reducing the workload for admins at all. They are infact increasing the workload of only a few people on a team because all has to be done by server logs verification which isnt what everyone on an admin team has access too.
They have infact made it harder because now admins have to double check server logs and make sure what an person is said to be off the correct steam ID and what not, while previously in game, in global, admins did police in legacy at least from my experience.
People have always posted egg invites in discord too.
Doesnt make a difference wether eggs where posted in global or on discord.
No, I really dont know what your talking about beccause having heavy rules to give an more realistic and actualyl way more balanced ruleset (Hint hint, mr unofficial, hows those therri apex giga and rex mix packs going on for you on Official? Last time I played, there was a pack of 15+ on official legacy(You know, a official server with no global chat, just killing everything fresh or not, not even eatiing the bodys, just ruining everyones ability to survive cause they cant really do alot when they have players using raptors as scouts), and asura it self was no better on that regard..... good job. Thats very balancing, and no, group limits that are artificially limited wont stop it, nor does it stop toxicity for that matter either)
Allready told you why people are able to do this and its got nothing to do with the darn game or global chat, it has everything to do with third party influence called discord and people being in cliques..
You really dont understand balance needs to be enforced and that is why there re rule servers on Legacy for The Isle, and looking from what I experience so far, even from back when stegos camped deinos all the time,
If you like those type of servers its all fine but I dont, and others dont either. So why you need to keep arguing and trying to be toxic in your own little snarky comments?

As I said, rules exist to make up for what the lack of mechanics and features don't. Thank you for acknowledging it even in your round about ways.
Already told you that Global still allows it and creates chatroom. It does what discord does, but in the game itself. It doesn't add or improve and deserve no further support. If you decide to go out of your way to third party sites, that's on you alone.
You really don't understand that balance is something you build with updates, patches, and mechanical changes. Rule making, administrating, beaurocrating is just playing catch up to that fact.
I give as I receive. If you like your rules lawyering servers, that's cool, but I prefer the base game just increase and perfect its functions so that I and every other player only have to worry about playing the game. And at that point, your rules are like a band-aid peeling off an old scar.
You litterlly go ultra whiteknight mode and you cant keep it civil one bit.
If you simlpy cant understand heavy server rules that is to prevent killing for sport but you're at this point just trolling.
Hello, Pot, my name's Kettle.
Hm. Why yes, I am black. Why do you ask?
Furthermore, BoB / PoT have a massive issue with what I call dinosaur lawyers. Global chat in those games is just people arguing constantly about "rule breaks" which is the dumbest thing I've ever encountered in 30 years of gaming. Rules should be enforced by game design, period.
If custom servers want global chat and lawyering, that's fine, but I hope it never comes to official.
