Now that they confirmed nerfing carnos even more I think nothing can challenge the Dibble, its harder to kill than a steggo becuase of its headshot protection and speed.
Other medium to large Dinos are next in line to be added, these changes are to prepare the roster
Probably due to the Allo, the Carno (Cheetah) is being positioned as the small game hunter, Allo (Lion) is going for larger game like the Dibble
In HT the Carno now is more capable and overall faster, yes it is smaller, but can now spam charge with no warm-up or cool-down with very little Stam used up, as well as being more manoeuvrable, many in HT are reporting finding killing Omni and Dillo sized animals far easier
Now for the Dibble, the Legacy Dibble is larger and does more damage than the Evrima Dibble, but the Evrima Dibble has far more mechanics at it's disposal, just to get that out of the way
The Dibble is now being prepared for the larger predators coming, like the Allo, the overall game is seeing changes to prepare for the move into the larger tiers, and changes need to be added in gradually and early to prepare the player base, and for in game testing, so everything is subject to change particularly now as we move into another phase of development
And as for dealing with the current Dibble, choosing your target is key, find a young one, and/ or one on it's own, ambush if you can, get that first or second bite in, be patient, timing is key, the dibble can be slow at times to turn if its already standing still, momentum is Dibbles tool to quick turns, if you are losing or the Dibble is too skilled disengage
