Been a minute since I've played. What has changed in the last couple years? Is playing with friends a bit easier as far as finding and linking up with each other? etc?

Nothing, the game is a huge disappointment years later. Path of Titans is the only worthy successor and better game in all aspects, and they did it in less time then this lack luster and boring sim.

deino can sink a stego if it is in the water.
new nightvision
new map
meeting friends is techincally easier, you not likely to be very far on spawn.
diablo has straffing
mutations are a thing.
diet are slightlly easier to get
etc oif bug fixes
/unstuck command
etc.

oh and herra climbs trees and cliffs

you get a mutation at 1%-50% and 100%
if gives you many choices like 15% less bleed dmg/running 5% faster and healing a bit faster till able to drink salt water....etc....

once hordetest is over ....it will be harder to join your friends since you will get a random spawnpoint.
you can use the map to see where you are and meet up at some point.

the NV is alot better....alot!!

i don't think Carno's is the OP ....i can easily kill 1 as a Cera....also dibble is very good vs Carno....it all depends how good you play and are in group or not.

The Herra can headshot a full grown omni by jumping high from a tree.

the game is alot better...but that's my opinion.....still many haters on this forum :-))

Well thank for an honest hot-take without adding your own angry opinion in there. It is informative and means I may download and give er a try again at some point.

You mentioned spino. Do you know about Evrima? They rebuilt the game from scratch after some drama with their coder, added better turning and flying and swimming and seamless growth and everything. Evrima is apparently considered to not be feature complete compared to legacy, but it's pretty damn close at this point to what an official survival mode without sandbox dinos was.

what Beta are you playing?
-Spiro (not sure if there are servers)
-Evrima ....you should find servers official and unofficails
-Horde testing ...it has only official servers

i litterally jsut installed, had to do like an hour of googling to find out that the game doesnt exist and the client is jsut a reuse for the beta of evirma? im yet to paly although i played Beasts of bermuda and its still up with offical support and mods and everything

HoundDaddy I am not sure if anyone actually plays the core game here, it's pretty common knowledge to play Evrima. If you need help getting it setup (very easy) let me know.
