Nobody chatting in Evrima?
It's my first time playing on Evrima since a while, and I noticed nobody is talking in the chat. What's up with this? I'm on a 100/100 Official server.

You can only chat with members of your own species on official servers.

You can only chat with other people who are the same species as you. If they are in close proximity of you. Global chat has been removed from the game since like update 3 I think.

Yup. Gotta be near another of your kind and the chatting makes you make a noise so some are quiet for that reason too.

Chat in evrima is limited to "local chat" from Legacy (same species/nearby only). They're trying to make the game more of a tense survival game where you can't directly communicate with other species outside of 1-4 calls (also to discourage mix packing).

They don't want players using global chat as a tool for survival, or to mess up game play for others in an openly competitive environment, make sense OP?

They type the toxic comments from their gameplay in Official Discord now lol, so the global chat from Official servers just moved onto their Discord.
Discord can keep it.

Can anyone maybe help me with a problem? I cant see my species chat without pressing enter. It wasnt like that but one day it just changed

check under gameplay, there is an option for auto show chat.

A lot of people are traitors anyway so the good majority that dont speak are probably thinking about cannibalizing you. Its how I weed out who to trust and what not too sometimes...
