But this does not mean to never be open to be friendly to other players, but never let your guard down. They can strike you down when they see that you letting your guard down.
It sucks when it happens tho, but thats how people are in survival games
What are you on about? How does this mean nothing?
One guy says to never trust others, previous guy says that especially Stegos are
And I heavily disagree with both. Unless its a carnivore defending his territory, I was never just once killed or attacked on sight - by anyone, and I met dozens of Stegos so far and they are the least hostile players I've met.
As Raptor, when you RMB jump on other Dinos, dont fully deplete your Stamina. You will need some to gain distance and circle them once you hop off. If you fully drain your Stamina on clawing them, you will be a free kill afterwards.
Unfortunately this will likely change with the mutations update, carnivores can pick a "Cannibal" mutation that puts their own species on their diet.
Its not been super common on the test branch but I have still lost a couple of dinos(Omni, Troodon, Dilo) to people 1 calling but instead of grouping up they just kill you when you get close for "free food".
Basically the most toxic mutation possible is going to get added for the near exclusive use of the most toxic pre-made groups, its a cool survival mutation that could let you eat your allies after a fight if some die but we all know that is not how its going to be used.
Mixpackers(able to eat the same species they lure/help to kill) and just straight up cannibal groups of friends getting a kick out of having some zero skill combat and free kills come to them.
So I guess what I want to say is, try to enjoy it while it lasts.
Path of Titans is wildly more fleshed out, has more content, and it’s all been done in a fraction of the time The Isle has gotten anything done; in either version of the game. And Beasts of Bermuda managed to make a playable snake with far less devs than The Isle has and all their “we can’t do it now” excuses. All this game has been is a lot of hype and minimal payoff. Even the folks that defended this game in the forums, like Saurian, have gone completely silent for a good while. Cause there’s no way to defend this anymore. EVRIMA was supposed to be a fresh start and a way for them to focus down and get the game done….but it’s the exact same development cycle as the 2015 “legacy” version. Remember that trailer for EVRIMA that somehow had spino and Rex in it? How long ago was that and we haven’t even come close to getting any Dino’s of that size? The biggest is still stego/carno and even then the ones that are in a playable state are vastly unfinished. But they’re still trying to get the human aspects of the game thrown in too? LOL it’s literally the same as Legacy; no focus from leadership so development is spread out all over the place with each little piece getting worked on getting half baked, released after years of hyping it, and then another 4 years for them to come up with a “rework” or a new map multiple times because it turns out doing things half baked every time just causes more problems down the line.
TLDR; you’ve got better dino games already more fleshed out than this joke, ironically from multiple former devs that got tired of Dondi and his dumb bs
