Gateway just suffers from way too much jungle and way too many hills and inclines imo. I think they should divide the map into areas that have lots of hills and areas that are flat like the swamp and south plains. Seems like right now half the map is a permanently inclined jungle which doesnt feel very good to traverse.
When they add biomes like arid, redwoods, etc in 3 years it'll be perfect. Because graphics aside Gateway just has so many cool features especially for Deino like the east river delta, swamps, lily pads, etc.
I think little alcoves and hiding spots, as well as nesting areas would be really good to draw in groups of people, rather than just having 50 people dumped into south plains and the rest of the server wandering around alone in the jungles of the unecessarily giant map.
Also I miss the giant flat plains of the old isle. Just a flat expanse with nothing but bushes and a few trees. Had a crazy majestic vibe where you would just see a pue or a maia herd running around in the distance, wish they would bring that back.
