Do AI Herbivores really exist?

I watched many YouTubers playing this game, they mentioned you (as carnivore) can hunt AI teno, AI stego...etc. So far I played ~65 hours in Jan, never saw one AI Herbivore in my experience.
I did checked highland, empty; also checked swamp, empty.
Any suggestions where can I find them?

If you check highlands you can see ai tenos but they are very rare and I dont know if the devs broke the ai spawns of tenos as well. There were AI dryos in spiro but i dont think you can find them in gateway and I have never heard of an AI stego

ive spent ages running round with a gigantosaurus on a private solo server with AI enabled and wasnt able to find anything to eat. scent trail showed something to the north but it just kept showing north no matter how far i went, died of starvation in the end. there needs to be a option to populate with AI dinos otherwise carnavores are pointless....who wants to play as a boring veggiesaurus.

i would just like to add that i purchased this game on release back in 2015 and i have just returned to check out the uevr mod with the game.
i can honestly say that apart from a few more dinos i dont really see any difference in the game after 9 years of development. still seems like early access and still no humans

so you are playing legacy brand...
you need to use aheadphone and listen ...when you grow hungry...ai will spawn close to you...just follow the sound and you will find it

if you want to play evrima.. rightclick on the game...goto properties..click on beta...evrima

Tell me fairy tales... i have more than 2k hours in isle in 5 active accounts, 1.5k alone on this main account. I know how to play this game.
Evrima isnt worth my time, its a big waste.

You think i wasted them in evrima? No, legacy, old but more play and enjoyable than Evrima.
Dont think i listen to tryhard fanboys like you, alot peoples think evrima sucks. And i was open to give evrima a second chance, again after a while...but they are all true.
Its even worse now...as ALOT players say.

The sole fact that OP asks the question 'Do AI Herbivores really exist?' is a problem. If they do exist it should be obvious enough, you shouldn't have to 'hear' about it on a forum outside the game itself. They should be felt in the world.
Many players prefering to stick to The Isle - Legacy is also a huge indictment against Evrima. It shouldn't be hard to do better than a game that isn't being updated anymore while you can and have been working on Evrima for years.

That is your opinion and you have every right to it. Since this is a survival game and finding food is a main goal i do think you should have to work for it.

AI carno and AI raptor , back in time to the Update 4 (diets) - they got removed after that

AI Teno are quite rare, even if you find a Teno, you will not be sure if it is AI or not...

I did see a AI Teno once, long time ago, before the December update, only found out about it when it stopped running as it's AI bugged out.
Have not seen any AI Tenos so far recently. Teno's are very elusive.
