Near impossible to catch player dinos as Deino on new map
Title says it all. ♥♥♥♥ map for Deino.

Edit: Near impossible is an overreaction, but it takes longer to find prey, and half of the waterways are thin and shallow which allows them to jump over or swim across really quick. The couple of places where the water is deep and wide are nice but it's 2x a boring waiting game for prey in comparison to Spiro. Not to mention AI fish seem to be far and few between.

I also assumed that the new map would get a little more love for Deinos and make playing overall more interesting. By this I don't mean that I can kill other players at every corner, but rather a huge river system that is structured logically. I loved floating through the rivers in a meditative state on Spiro. So far I don't have the feeling that this is possible on Gateway. The lakes are nice, but I don't like settling somewhere for long periods of time. I also noticed that certain rivers are still buggy and the water sometimes no longer looks as beautiful as I remember it from Spiro - as if you were swimming through liquid metal.

As a solo Deino player I gotta say, I really like the new map. There's a lot less Deinos to compete with :D.

Also a lot of shallow and thin areas, really awkward to "swim" through

I suggest you need to play more as the other dinos to learn where they are on the map.
Finding prey for deino is not hard. You just need to learn where they are.

Here is a long time player of Deino in Gateway, his perspective on where to hunt

Sherlock already said, "♥♥♥♥ no I'm not even going to bother reading anything, I know how to play"

Did he say that verbatim? No but his reply is dumbed down to, "I no like game it no play like I want".

So I will talk down to someone who won't even consider that they are playing wrong in the slitest. This may or may not be your first rodeo. But players like the ones ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the stamina in this game are a dime a dozen for other games. You see them everywhere. You can pick up on them real quick they are not even worth the effort to try to discuss with.

Ok bro

I mean it's not the greatest but hes saying "play a dinosaur that takes skill to play. Stego and Deino need zero skill to play them"

But it's easier for you to attack his words instead...

This "how to" is pretty cringe. If you want people to take your "how to" serious, I recommend a couple things.

1. Stop spamming CAPS in your article, it doesn't prove your point or make you come across as informative. It comes off as childish.

2. The fact you are defending Migration zones like they aren't a complete mess, makes me think you haven't played much and just read about the feature. Because on paper, the feature of migration zones is a good one, on execution, it falls short.

Also, you came into a post about Deinos and dropped your "article" about how to play the game when, although you mention carnivores, none of it is really informs a user how to play Deino better, which is what this post was about. So really, you wanted to just come in here and post a link to "show off" your waste of time "how to" guide.

1. I don't "spam caps" its to highlight major points. You saying childish is just an excuse to help your ego

2. You don't understand how migration zones work it seems. You can get a carni or herb to adult so insanely easy using MZ's just because you don't like them doesn't mean they don't work.

3. Yeah a Deino can get what they need at migration zones where players and AI are, so for you thinking I don't know much you sure don't know much

But typical of players like you, refuse to accept that you are playing wrong and would rather ♥♥♥♥♥,

I'll enjoy having a fun time playing this game while you blame everything but yours self.

aka migration zones are how you play and "skill issue" if you refuse to play the game as intended

Why do you spam caps in your article then?

You are right though, I don't understand the migration feature at all, its all poorly designed with dog water UI to tell you where to go, but you go ahead and die on that hill.

Also, if you have the balls to come into a post and spam post a link to your article, I would think you would be grown up enough to take criticism about it. But I guess you aren't a grown up.

getting back to the topic, you just need to learn where players congregate. As much as Toast is pushing the migration zones, most players don't pay attention to them, so you wont see too many actual players there. You might get lucky and see a few, and you might get some AI that spawns there, but AI can spawn anywhere so it's no guarantee. The rivers are a crap shoot, you may see people walking along them, but the bridge before the delta tends to be a hotspot. The delta itself usually has a marginally higher chance of meeting players, and tends to spawn Tenonto AI fairly consistently. The Northeastern Spawn lake usually has a lot of activity. If you can successfully get to Center lake in the mountains, it is a hotspot and almost always has players. The small river with falls that leads to the reservoir sometimes has people around it, and the first falls right next to the reservoir is a spot a lot of people cross the river, so you may get lucky. Otherwise, rely on fish until you spot a player or tenonto AI.

This was so much more informative, thank you. Do you know of an interactive map, similar to the one there used to be for spiro?

I don't "spam caps", you refuse to engage with the migration feature and you are the one insulting me at every turn so it seems you are the one who can't take any criticism.

You are just another upset cry baby when someone doesn't agree with their opinions. Do you expect to just say what you want with no replies? Well grow up kiddy its not how the world works. Also don't expect me to just lay down if I find your opinions flawed. Which again god forbid I don't agree with you, you throw a tantrum and start insulting.

How about if you still don't agree or don't want to continue the convo you move the ♥♥♥♥ on? You ever think of that?!

Ai are guaranteed along with plants. Literally have been testing this the past few days.
