Gen 1 was kind of experimental but when AE got away with it they got more bold and just streight up made straight up humans that belonged to the company because they are artifical. These artifical humans are called mercinaries and probubly lead to believe their current job was their choice but really....well....it might have become more their choice when stuff broke down because getting the facility running again was probubly the only goal they could think of. If you can call "we don't know what else to do" a choice.
You're right. Even if they plan to have some customization among the humans they could easily run with this to allow more focus on the dino-human interactions and maybe some clothing stuff rather then worrying about different body shapes and heights and whatnot.
Edit; It's also funny that this same exuse makes the dino skin customization very believable for me. I had argued in the past that these dinos should not be compared to natural wild packs and instead should be compared to feral colonys of once domestic animals when considering their mixes of colors from individual to individual. Not everyone liked the skin customization update you see and argued that wild animals generally look more samey.
But humans probubly WOULD play with "paint jobs".
We see this with the reptile morph community already and they don't have free reign to genetically modify patturns and colors into animals with any method other then breeding.
Humans cloned though, if the clones are for manual labor the company probubly isn't going to bother with that. It could make their critics raise an eyebrow if they saw them go morph crazy on something they probubly are using legal loopholes to do in the first place. They'd rather people keep their eyes on the dinosaurs and not the human cloneing.
I wonder what they would do with the human-dino hybrids though. I do hope they get a little skin customization. I don't expect them to be particularly bright but markings are always fun. Even subtle ones made to look like they weren't really on purpose and just came linked with one of the dino genes.
That is very possible. Though personally I would consider that a branch of manual labor in this specific case since I really doubt said hybrids were planned to be given a choice in the matter. Made for a job rather then some various experiment like the dinos.
