So i belived the crocodile was the strongest dino on evrima.. its not

i was 96% to max adult... 500 biteforce or so... still a stego killed me super fast even i was 10tonz or something....

This evrima is totally unbalanced ...... ill skip this game untill they fix the overpowered stegos..

You can avoid full adult stegos easily as a croc then hunt the smaller ones, that's the balance currently (this isn't a pvp game like COD), the stego is getting updated to take on somewhat the Rex and other very large Preds as they are very slow to escape

i was caught out on a field looking for a pig.. it happens.. still i tought i was big enough to take on the stego but that was a mistake lol... well...it is still to overpowered this stego...and even it have this weapon spikes i dobt it could handle rex in real life back in the days. ..

Fair enough, you can feel pretty helpless if a Steg catches you out of water, nothing you can really do

I think the Stegs will get an upswing attack to reach the Rex for a face hit, by themselves the Steg wont win against a Rex, but in a group the Stegs will have to form up a circle and wave those spikes at the Rex's face :p

Only way to kill a Stego as a Deino is alt-biting the head, preferably from a water ambush, then run on land as it's turning in order to body block it, you should be positioned in a way to where it can only body-shot or tail-shot you. This mostly relies on the Stego being an average player and not really knowing what they are doing of course, but then again most Stego players are trash. Best way to kill a Stego is to have 2 adult deinos of course, on either side of it, when one gets focused too much the other needs to take over and tank some damage too while both still get bites in. If the Stego gets distance on land, unless you are confident it is mere bites away from death - do not chase it, it'll get 2 headshots on you before you can even reach it's head.

All in all bigger slower crocs should be carefull going far inland, also going on land to hunt pigs make no sense whatsoever for a croc?

acutally i was not hunting a pig.. i was trying to get a thanos but he was a bait for the stego...

still make no sense that a stego can kill a croc that large.. those spikes not made of titanium .. that dumb as animal only weapon are those bone spikes.. and i bet a armored croc skin could handle it much better then 5 sec it took for it to kill my croc ..

anyway.. old history...

i not play croc anymore and neighter will i play a overpowered silly stego.. i think i stick to utah and cera and those flyers(those are fun:) but useless in fight seff.. hope they add the gigantic flyers ..14 meter wingspan or what they had.. :) i bet those actually could do damage with the beak..

50% of every server is just garbage Deino players anyway so if anything you're helping by not playing it.

People underestimate the fragility of skin/scales really a single tail swing would do enough to kill/severely wound the croc

Realistically, the croc would be able to pull the stego into the water, but that's a difficult mechanic to put into the game.

I'm just pointing out the irony. Deinos wanna complain about Stegos being their ONLY COUNTER, and even then its only Stegos over 4.4k Tons which is close to about 80% of the growth of a Stego. Never complained about it living in the water, just a wandering herbivore tank I think is less trashy than an AFK Water Ambush camper.

Personally, I've never seen a Stego body camp. Hell today I ran across two different stegos that swatted some cocky raptors/Ceratos and they just meandered off. Deinos are more likely to just put some meat right by the shoreline and use it as bait for others.

You can outrun a Stego, especially if its trying to chase you down and swat you, but you have to engage with a mechanic you actively need to survive when it comes to Deinos.

You can leave the stego be and go find other prey, but all the water ways are infested with Deinos. 50% of a server's population tends to be playing Deino. While Deinos supposedly can't 1 shot, they might as well since they can drag you into the water and before you have any chance to escape or make it back to shore you either drown or they grab you again and pull you back down to your death.

Deinos kill players just because they can, I have yet to run into a Stego with that mentality. The only time I got killed for seemingly no reason by a stego as a Carnivore (Cerato) was because a bunch of lil S****s had lied to the Stego and said we were bullying them and spawn camping their nest, when it was mine and another Cerato's nest and we were mix-packing with some other dinos. Confronted that Big Stego as a Stego and he told me what he heard, this was before he knew I was the Cerato he murked.

Every time I hear a bad story about a Stego, its usually from someone that only really plays Deino and is mad that there is an actual Dino that can fight back against them.
