cerato
"cerato will destroy carno" "cerato will be like a honey badger" "once cerato comes out the game wont just be swarms of carnos running around killing everything"

then we find out it has less weight, bite force, and takes longer to grow. whats even the point anymore?

The Pachy is also smaller, it can hold its own... It depends on how you use Cerato, it has a special, with skill it can be deadly

Possible to vomit lock a Carno to death

Why? Would definitely be interested if you played it in the stress test, which of course is still getting worked on

Guys ... you have bigger and smaller dinosaurs ... you aren't MEANT to be able to kill a Carno easily as a Cerato. That's why they have packs ... they are different play styles .. and it's not always rock paper scissors.

A Carno will be outclassed by the next big boys coming in from Allos, to Spinos, to Rexs, etc.

The only reason the carno lost in the above video was because he wasn't that great of player at that class of dino. However, two ceratos would definitely be able to kill a Carno if they were decent players and the carno actually stuck around to fight.

It's also important to note that fighting a cerato in general is a really dangerous engagement given that you stand a good chance of losing a significant amount of stamina, hunger, and health along with whatever diet you were carrying. This is where being third-partied becomes a very legitimate threat, as you could have a scenario where the carno will kill the cerato before it dies, but will be stuck at around half stamina, hunger, and thirst and reduced health as well as a fairly decent amount of bleed. Say the cerato and the carno are both close to death with the latter of the two having the above mentioned debuffs and then a pack of three omniraptors enter the mix and decide to attack the severely weakened carno. Engaging a ceratosaurus in combat, especially over a corpse (particularly if it gets the chuff state body contest buffs being talked about), will be mostly tied to risk assessment: even if you can kill the cera, can you afford the damage you will sustain and (more importantly) are you fully confident that you will survive the encounter? It seems like the matchup is rather neutral between cera and carno, favoring both animals in certain elements given their place in the game's "ecosystem," but we'll just have to wait and see.

Cerato seems to indeed be a bad thing to fight, but no longer because it's "tanky"

Honestly, i'm so sad with how they made Cerato such a light weight. It was my favorite, but now it just seems like a pain. Pachies mess up Cerato, Carno can face tank Cerato, Fighting a Teno is very ill advised especially compared to how Carno can fight one, Steggos are a complete Death sentence, smaller Crocs can grab you compared to Carno, Troodon can gang up on a Cerato easy, the only dino that is not a throw away 30-60 minute growth dino that Cera can win against most of the time is Omni.

Just because fighting one is "Dangerous" will not stop a Carno. And just because its "Dangerous" does not mean that its fun, fair, or balanced. It can barely pull its own weight.

cerato turn speed is super strong especially against carnos its a play style war. (those who run it in vs those to react to those running it in) lol no joke its actually really fair the fight can go any side

I assume the point is more options, also dont forget the pack buff? More than anything the development of this game is so baffling to me. I leave for three years, I come back... there are fewer dinosaurs now? Okay...? Three years and they've added the dino, and made stego playable, and changed the diet system? Is that really all they've done??? Like why bother at that point? Why not like... give up?

Not if Carno can just Alt bite and face tank you. which it can if it has 50% food.
