How to play Troodon?
Can someone tell me how Troodon works?

I read it has something to do with 3 poison stages and a sound it must make when I can pounce again, but I can't find anywhere where I concretely see what to do.

Help is appreciated!

1. Troodons get venom at around 65% growth. Before that its regular bleed and a bit of dmg I think
2. After a Troodon pounces a target it directly Puts venom in it. So no need to stay pounced. Hop on and off.
3. After a pounce you hear a little sound cue from all troodons around synchronized. Sort of a little hiss - stage 1. You then can pounce again - another Sound cue, now stage 2. Up until now, the target glows Green when you sniff.
A pounce After the 2nd stage gets you to stage 3. After the 3rd Sound cue everyone should jump on as offen as they can. Damage multiplies and the targets glows now purple while using scent.
4. After a Sound cue you have about a Minute to pounce again before it resets the stage
5. When a second troodon pounces before the Sound cue appears, the stage gets reseted.

Have more question about the venom mechanics?

Thank you! This information was VERY helpful!

I do have one question left:
Point 5 mentions a second troodon pouncing before the sound cue resets the stage. Does this also happen when you're in stage 3 (purple)? Can you ignore sound cues in the last stage?

Don't waste your time, too many bugs that make it easy for you to die if you attack literally anything aside from non threatening prey. You might take out some babies if you get lucky, but otherwise the whole attack mechanic mixed with the animation delays leaves you wide open for attack and you have not health so it's usually one or 2 bites for you to die. Forget about attacking boars either. I've been grinding on this dino for a week now and it has potential to be a good dino and fun to play if they can work out the mechanics and animations etc to give this creature some form of means to be an actual threat.

After 3rd pounce u have to wait for the Sound cue. Then you can attack as you will.

Silverfox77 isn't completely wrong sadly... the pounce is pretty broken atm. Troodon can be a lot of fun and grows fast but pepare to die a lot..
