Pteranodon, Can't pick it?

Just bought this game, thinking about refunding because I spent the last 20mins going from server to server that say "all dinos" and Pteranodon is nowhere on the list. Wanted to start with flying so I can explore the game a bit..

Go to your game library, right click The Isle -> properties -> betas -> select evrima branch. You're probably playing the old version, which is no longer being worked on

yeah I figured this out. Learned that 90% of the community is playing on beta for over 2 years now. What a bad design choice. Sometimes I feel like the devs are very out of touch. Do they even play their own game? Or maybe its a common sense issue, smart people often lack it.
