Spawning in the game

Can we do something about where your character spawns? I’ve been trying to play with friends for days and we spend hours dying just trying to group up. Can we fix it so that you spawn within a certain area of your group and also maybe fix it so you aren’t kicked from a group when you die?

For choosing spawning places: nope, it will stay random as choosing certain area (highly populated, example might be party field) can become problematic in terms of spawn kosing and so on. For kicking from group: don't know anything about it, noone says single thing about it being a big problem as your mate can simply re add you as you spawn again.

You have to actually make it to adult first. If no one in your group is adult you're just SOL right now

if literally nobody in your friend group has ever made it to an adult dino then i dont think theres much i can do for you

If you are all just starting out then it's perfectly understandable. Or if everyone dies for one reason or another

You have no influence on your spawn points for a good reason. People will form noxiously large groups consisting of mixed species to roam the map and destroy everything whenever they get the chance to, which is something the devs dont want to happen. Selectable spawpoints would leave a lot of room to be exploited like that. Other than that it could be abused to feed your friends for their entire lifetime.

Maybe once affinity is fully implemented there would be more room for such things. Until then yall should just go with female dinosaurs so you can nest. Currently there's not really a reason to play a male creature anyway other than more colorful details on your skins.

who knows the next newbie may be reading it... it's still content and I reply to things online from even 7 yrs ago, idc. maybe the OP is no longer around but it was _somewhat_ relevant to my issue and possibly add some weight to a topic that devs need to put more time in

Well Evrima I believe now gives you the option to choose a general spawn location, so the devs did address it
