Constructive.. Bye
It's called standing still and twirling in place breaking all balancing mechanics of the game. The Alt turn needs animations because it is by far the most broken feature of the game. I hate that system so much that I refuse to play in servers that do not remove it. Watching dinos just spin around faster than you can ambush run so they always have teeth pointed at you is purely a broken or incomplete system.
Exactly, My "Solutions" are made, so that you can still outplay someone by sneaking up on them and getting behind them. You are rewarded by getting 1 max 2 bites while they are exposed, but your bite spree cant tontinue as the butt-bit dinosaurs gains distance as long as he doesn't left click and you do. Creatures use alot of energy so slowing down when attacking isn't far from realism. Less so than spinning in place.
Besides that, in dangerous situations, all huge animals in real live also move around faster than you might think or know. And ambush still works, since a suprising attack shouldnt give the defender enough time to alt turn fast enough anyway.
So exactly, the ''solution'' above should in theory work. Alt turn is rendered useless in combat, but big dinosaurs can still gain distance between the attacker after 1-2 bites.
Indeed, you are most welcome.
Good, I don't want your whining bullcrap on my servers btw.
Correct me if im wrong, you are a Rex player who has never touched another dinosaur other than an apex carnivore or Hebrivore, 90% of your time you spend sitting at a lake with your friends Trikes, Gigas and Utahs chatting in Global and waiting for newbie players to come to you while you take advantage of their situation. Not trying to be rude, just wondering brother <3
Please read over my post and think about what you say next, but it's better if you dont text at all, to anyone, ever.
So the solution is above..
If a giga is on Rexe's ass and bites him, he slows down to a trot for long enough so the rex can run far enough to reposition his mouth towards the giga, at the same time, Giga has options to either continue chasing or turn the opposite direction and escape the jaws just in time. No Alt turn needed and it makes combat more dimentional than it is..
Does alt turn look good? No.
Is alt turn realistic? Yes. I don't see why an animal couldn't be able to use it's own two feet to turn in place, other animals can turn in place. I don't see why dinosaurs couldn't.
Is alt turn unbalanced? No. If anybody complains because they (Or their pack) can't sucessfully land bites on animals without taking a hit because of an animal's ability to turn in place, that's a personal problem. Majority of players on official servers can hunt with alt turn, so you can to. A whole new mechanic, which would cost time and money to make doesn't need to be added into the game to compensate for your unskilled players unable to kill animals without riding it's ass.
