All herbs including trike.
Short growth more herbs. 25% reduction would incentives more herbs. Otherwise, what is the point in being a walking buffet.
Herbs should be larger population than carnivores to support a food chain.
I mean if you can't defend yourself you should be able to escape...
Also the excuse that herbis can form a group and therefor should generally be weaker is absolute nonsense!
If they grow faster and can stand up to carnivores you still have that issue where people go herbivore to feed their carnivore friends.
So it's probably better to have them grow at roughly the same speed and make them strong enough to survive encounters aka "actually balancing them".
Still you can't make a food chain with players alone because a majority wants to play as carnivore and incentivizing a proper ratio would result in them being stuck as baby carnivores, starving and crying for carnivore buffs and not in them taking the logical step and switching to a character based on non-depleted resources.
