T-Rex new stamina is beyond bad
Not gonna be the 12y old kid crying out loud..

But honestly

It's drained way too fast.. it can be acceptable but at least let us regain stamina faster when resting? Or another solution, i rather have speed nerfed again and up the stamina..
hitting adult rex right now is like a overweight diabetic dog

BITTERSWEET! =)
hope some people that spend their whole day reaching adult understands me rather than someone just spilling out crap

It's not THAT bad, really you shouldn't need to run everywhere now that it's speed is buffed. You are supposed to ambush people, more often than not if you do it right you can atleast hit them once which more than likely breaks their leg, spelling death for them and dinner for you.
Nekrum Feb 14, 2019 @ 1:28pm
Gotta ambush, and if youre in range anyhting is dead(talking about survival here).
Why Watt Feb 14, 2019 @ 1:52pm
Trex ATM has an ambush multiplier of 1.5

You can catch Utahraptors in an ambush, as a Tyrannosaurus.

The stamina tradeoff is the cost of every dinosaur being on the menu if you are close enough.

I'd actually say the ambush multiplier should be reduced a bit again, it's really strong but whatever

That being said the strongest dinosaur having the lowest stamina is totally fine, I don't see the issue here
Lain Feb 14, 2019 @ 4:47pm
i like the stam nerf, it might be too low- cause 25-40 seconds of running is quite pathetic

they are closer to been ambush hunters now than ever, you all need to lay low in some cover and wait for something to come near you and jump that dino

I get you folks.. But at the same time not..

I honestly don't think 90% of the comments even tried current adult rex.
Yes you have amazing speed, yes you have a bite force that is sky high, yes you have bone break and w/e

But the gameplay around t-rex changed around completely. The stamina regen is horrible and I just can't imagen how it would be in a scenario where Rex is hunted by a pack of dinos. You just lay down to regain stamina after desperately trying to wore them off, that wont work, and eventually you're just walk speed till you end up dying. Theres no stamina regen while even walking. And if you even get the chance to rest just for a brief moment, the stamina regen is absolutely AWFUL.

I don't think the devs looked through the stamina regen before they nerfed the stamina.. feels like a quick solution to the speed.

^Dondi specifically mentioned that he doesn't like the fact that all the small guys hang out near Rexs all the time which is kind of understandable. You wouldn't want to hang out near a multiple ton killing machine. This change was supposed to prevent that from happening.

@OP. You basically one shot every other dino with legbreak. That is a massive advantage. From a balance perspective the idea of limiting your mobility really just comes down to that and rightfully so. You are supposed to be a ambush hunter now pretty much exclusively. With 1200 N, a significant weight advantage over most other dinosaurs, bonebreak, and insane sprint and ambush speed you were given the tools for near 100% successrate provided that you catch your prey off guard.
If you choose to continue to just try to run down and overpower your opponents regardless you will end up exhausted, leaving you at a disadvantage, or rather a much more level playing field given that your bite is so overwhelmingly powerful. Likewise, walking around carelessly in the open because "ima motherfukcing Trex" is now gonna expose you to the risk of being spotted and bullied by packs of other predators until you're exhausted, again leveling the playing field by giving them a chance to use their superior mobility to their advantage. You still most likely oneshot them, but you can now actually be punished for being overly careless like that.

Last night our Maia herd was ambushed by a rex pair. If it weren’t for the body drop rule on this server, all of us would have been massacred—they were on us in seconds!

If played right, rex is hella terrifying

Good and smart arguments!!!

Dondi has said that he only wants the sprint mechanic in for hunting. he doesn’t intend for you to be normally sprinting around the map, especially as a fully grown apex tier dinosaur

Everybody who thinks rex is bad currently has a problem.
It 1 shots or basically 1 shots EVERYTHING that is not an apex.
You shouldn't be able to have infinite stamina as something this big. Nor should you regain stamina quickly. People who want rex to run fast and regain stamina quick are forgetting that, yeah rex is an "overweight diabetic dog" but it has enough of a bite force to not need to run for long.
You're not meant to be invincible
