You can catch Utahraptors in an ambush, as a Tyrannosaurus.
The stamina tradeoff is the cost of every dinosaur being on the menu if you are close enough.
That being said the strongest dinosaur having the lowest stamina is totally fine, I don't see the issue here
they are closer to been ambush hunters now than ever, you all need to lay low in some cover and wait for something to come near you and jump that dino
I honestly don't think 90% of the comments even tried current adult rex.
Yes you have amazing speed, yes you have a bite force that is sky high, yes you have bone break and w/e
But the gameplay around t-rex changed around completely. The stamina regen is horrible and I just can't imagen how it would be in a scenario where Rex is hunted by a pack of dinos. You just lay down to regain stamina after desperately trying to wore them off, that wont work, and eventually you're just walk speed till you end up dying. Theres no stamina regen while even walking. And if you even get the chance to rest just for a brief moment, the stamina regen is absolutely AWFUL.
I don't think the devs looked through the stamina regen before they nerfed the stamina.. feels like a quick solution to the speed.
@OP. You basically one shot every other dino with legbreak. That is a massive advantage. From a balance perspective the idea of limiting your mobility really just comes down to that and rightfully so. You are supposed to be a ambush hunter now pretty much exclusively. With 1200 N, a significant weight advantage over most other dinosaurs, bonebreak, and insane sprint and ambush speed you were given the tools for near 100% successrate provided that you catch your prey off guard.
If you choose to continue to just try to run down and overpower your opponents regardless you will end up exhausted, leaving you at a disadvantage, or rather a much more level playing field given that your bite is so overwhelmingly powerful. Likewise, walking around carelessly in the open because "ima motherfukcing Trex" is now gonna expose you to the risk of being spotted and bullied by packs of other predators until you're exhausted, again leveling the playing field by giving them a chance to use their superior mobility to their advantage. You still most likely oneshot them, but you can now actually be punished for being overly careless like that.
If played right, rex is hella terrifying
Good and smart arguments!!!
It 1 shots or basically 1 shots EVERYTHING that is not an apex.
You shouldn't be able to have infinite stamina as something this big. Nor should you regain stamina quickly. People who want rex to run fast and regain stamina quick are forgetting that, yeah rex is an "overweight diabetic dog" but it has enough of a bite force to not need to run for long.
You're not meant to be invincible
