Guide on how to play THE CARNOTAURUS
I do not know how to play THE CARNOTAURUS well.
Running around looking for food is unviable because it takes a lot of stam, so if an Utah spots me and I have half stam, it's trouble.
Walking wastes hunger. I once ran around for half an hour and found only 2 rabbits, no goats, no boars.
How does one keep their Carno alive? It's so demanding!

Can anyone write a good Carno guide for Evrima Carno?
Including stats stuff, matchups, what to avoid doing, what to do, good spots.

There are plenty of guides out there for Carno you can look up and read/watch.

Carno is a plains, speed hunter. Your strength is speed, decent bite dmg and a head ram/stun. Try to stay moving and surveying the open land for prey items while avoiding dangerous situations such as larger packs of carnos or raptors. Stick to the plains areas of the map at least until you're grown.

Move from cover to cover whenever possible until adult while you look for prey items.

I haven't played a ton just due to my own time constraints and the servers being constantly full but when I was playing Carno and had issues growing (also due to lack of food) I found the #1 factor was that I was spawning in the wrong areas. Center was the easiest spawn location because it's where the plains are and lots of AI food. Stay away from the jungle areas.

Granted, my experience was before the latest patch which promotes carno cannibalism and lowers AI food spawns at the same time. Basically, they are trying to make sure you're not having too easy of a time at surviving as carno and limits packs (in theory). Apparently, before carno was easy mode compared to other dinos and too many people were playing them.

This will likely mean you'll have to take your chances being around other carnos or just avoid them in general if you can.

Don't try to take a stego without friends and be careful around water because crocs can ambush one-shot you. I think packs of raptors can be dangerous as well now. Other than that you're on top of the food chain as adult carno.

Top of the food chain is the ridiculous unbalance Stego that the devs are too dumb to see. It kills for sport not for food.

I think the counter to Stego hasn't been introduced yet. Let's hope it wasn't supposed to be the carno.

Stego is pretty much easy mode right now.

The issue is I know how to run away and how to avoid utahs (usually).
Utah absolutely demolishes young carnos. I had an Utah chase me down across half the map when I was a 50 or 60% Carno.

The real issue is finding AI. I ran all the way around the beach near Coastal Cave.
Then I ran around to Warehouse, from Warehouse to Mossy River, to the Trash pit, Lemon Fields and to the border of the swamp, all staying southways.
At the foot of "MtJagger" there used to be goats quite often, but I found nothing at all.
I starved out while running across the entirety of the map.
There are no tools to find AI other than visual, and when server gets low pop, you are screwed.

As for combat, I never had serious combat so I don't know how to properly fight Utah Packs or how to reliably escape Carnos or Utahs that hunt.

I have not found any good EVRIMA Carno Guide. Only legacy ones.
Links are welcome.

Carno is like playing The Isle on it's hardest difficulty, expect to die, if it's too much you can play other Dinos for a break, survival is a mix of luck, skill, and strategy, with Carno you need all three

Below is an example of a Carno life in the current Isle

you can also try spawning at the coast and hunt for turtles, because as juvenile it doesnt matter what you eat

It is not stegos fault. You are just to dumb to understand the game.
