Poor Evrima Performance
So I just wanted to make this post because I am pretty dissatisfied with Evrima's performance.

I personally have an RTX 2070 Super, I5-9600K, 16GB DDR4 Ram and I average between 45-60 fps on max settings.
Now, my brother has a GTX 1070, I5-9600K, 16GB DDR4 ram from Gigabyte, and even while on medium settings, he could not reach 45-60fps.

I hope that the upcoming update takes steps to improve this, because this is unacceptable. The majority of steam users have even lower rigs, and while the game should not be playable with every potato per se, a gtx 1070 should be fine.

Just wanted to give my 2 cents on the matter, because it ruined the gameplay experience yesterday.

I'm using Ryzen 7 5800X with Radeon RX 6800 XT and 64gig DDR4, and I get between 110 and 120 fps (edit: on max settings).

Lowest it dips is 55fps when a big chunk loads in, causing a serious stutter for around a half second.

Otherwise I'm very happy, BUT I do recognise my specs are way above the stated requirements.

GTX 1080Ti, AMD Ryzen 7 1800X, 32GB ram, and I can't get those frames even on lowest settings in Evrima. On highest its pretty much the same too, only changes by a few fps. Legacy runs great at 100-120fps max settings, no stutters or freezes or anything.

In Evrima, the low fps isn't even the biggest problem, its the fact that the game freezes randomly and literally every single fight. Freezes for a few seconds at a time, shows a new frame, and freezes again, and keeps going until my dino either died or I managed to somehow get away without seeing where I'm going and who I'm fighting.

Just get it to run as well as Legacy and I'll be satisfied...

Evrima has some really bad LOD issues, especially with update 4. Loading chunks sends my fps to 0 and holds at 12 while in large fights, and that's with my 3080 laptop and 5800h.

But update 5 seems to have fixed a lot of issues, especially performance. I see some Youtubers getting 150 fps, and holding 60 in fights in the most recent stress test. Let us hope and pray that the lords grant us more fps.

I can happily say that the recent update (Update 5) has positively impacted my FPS.

My main positive point is that my fps is a lot more CONSISTENT and STABLE.
Whereas yesterday I had 30-45-60fps, I now consistently hit between 60 and 70fps for the majority of my playthrough.

I also like how in every game I turn off anti-aliasing to boost performance, but in Evrima, I can turn it to ''epic'', it looks a lot better, but has 0 change in performance compared to low x)

Well Update 5 has improved my performance, its a lot more steady now, hope it lasts

When Evrima came out live. I had back then rather stable 55-60 fps, high graphic setting, no freezes, no stutters. Last time(like 2 months ago) I had fps in range of 1-30, when 30 would be like max I could ever get and it was for split seconds, it was mostly 1-15fps no matter the graphic settings( was playing with every setting on LOW too, which didnt helped much) I would barely play on EMPTY server ( to test new things).

My pc is propably medium by now but it was build to play games mostly.
My pc:
gtx 1070 ti
16 GB ram
cpu i73770 3.4 Ghz
Game is on ssd disc

I gotta try this new update as I was waiting for it to go back to the game, but after my last experience with game I have no high hopes. :C

Havent gained any extra frames, but its a lot more stable. Steady 50-60 fps now instead of 0-20-40-50-0...

So i managed to play the game with 55-60 fps, no stutters, word load in fast, tho it murders both my cpu and gpu with temperatures like no other game before(not even RDR2), graphic is medium/high, down from high on some specc but temp still high. Cpu is getting 61 C and gpu 71-72 C(with RDR2 it was 10 C less at max).

I see now there is no way to make LOD shorter in range. :C

Yeah.. My pc is also running hot from this game
Butt Spenza Jul 14, 2022 @ 2:45pm
Absolutely unplayable FPS for me, like 5.
Legacy runs perfectly fine.
ShadowNeko Jul 14, 2022 @ 3:11pm
Oof, thats for damn sure. It runs worse than before. But loads faster I think now.
Lo Ping Jul 14, 2022 @ 3:20pm
I cannot get above 15 fps as of late.
I7-9750H
GTX 1660TI
16gb ddr4 RAM

This game is cooking my computer and giving me no ability to murder children happy to be dinosaur. I dislike.

They should implement FSR2.0 for those who can't use DLSS, that's one of the more easier and obvious solutions. And stutters are horrible, they should work on eliminating those.
