Yes. The gamma exploit is still a thing some people do and some people just have lighter or darker screen settings and that can unintentionally lead to advantages and disadvantages.

Yes. While it's not a hack or a classical cheat making it brighter then the devs intend you to see is an exploit. You're just exploiting a feature of your device instead of the game and in this case it is one I don't think will ever have anything done about because to do so would require some sort of thing that prevents you from changing while you play. If that is even possible, which I doubt, it probably would cause more trouble then it solves. Luckily, I'm not one of the people who cares. I just know there are a lot of people who do and get annoyed with players that do. They consider it just bad sportsmenship or something of similar nature.
Yes. But that doesn't mean a lot of the player base don't consider it bad sportsmenship to do it far enough that all the challenge of night time is removed. It doesn't have to be some big massive problem that demands a fix to be an exploit. Sometimes an exploit is harmless enough that it is not bothered with. It doesn't have to be inherently bad. It just has to be unintentional by the design of the game and allow you to do something you otherwise wouldn't.
All dinos may share the same level of night vision in regards to being able to see the land around them at night, but the varying levels of night vision and other senses may impact the draw distance. If this is true then turning up the gamma won't really do anything for you other than make it slightly easier to navigate the map at night.
this comment is completely wrong lol, night vision hasn't been implemented yet at all since you know, the devs develop at a glacial pace
