Back when progression was a thing, they added the hypo rex, which in total costed 360 points to get to adult rex and 720 points for hypo rex, which, since you get ONE POINT per minute, that'd be a really long time. Despite that, servers were literally filled with hypos left and right.
I still have no idea how one could possibly become a strain, since we don't have that much info on them. I l think it will be really interesting, and I can't wait to see how things will turn out.
Instead, rexes were behind every rock and tree like an infestation of roaches.
And then like The Ninja Scout said, hypos became a thing and they were everywhere too. Exploits helped this along, too, so hopefully with those gone and newer, more difficult ways to get these strains added, they won't be common at all. I'm hoping it's something to do with personal skill and can't be spoon-fed by an outside source like a group of friends.
Maybe after a certain time has passed, your adult has to defeat certain, very difficult and special AI with NO aid from anyone. If you lose, you lose your dinosaur and start over as juvie again. .. And if someone else does any damage to it, it doesn't work. Or something along those lines.
