I did that and I found out that holding Q increases the range but after all this time all I ever found were leafes that gave no nutrients but filled my stomach.
Is food really this rare for herbivores? I just don't get what I am doing wrong.
After running around(quite quick btw) for so long I should've found at least one of the nutrient rich foods, right?
The worst part of it is that I ran around on an empty server just to test this new feature and on an empty Server there should be an abundance of food since noones eating it anyway.

this site is useful, you can click on the foods and it shows the general area where they are located
Sounds like their testing server stability, and player performance when hot spots, or large groups of players bunch together. If that's all or part of what their testing. I can tell them player interaction is definitely messed up in other ways. based on our current mechanics, tho.
Future mechanics may make the current setup make more sense? Or fill in what's lacking? Who knows.
Thanks man, this is great.
I have since started a ptera and I have been able to find all the foods except frogs and rabbits but fish and turtles are easy to find so I guess thats a step in the right direction.
Sure thing dude, yeah those two are a pain, i usually don't bother with them unless i happen to see one. From my experience the rabbit seem more common in the center plains then the eastern section, but idk for sure, and i've seen frogs at the oasis and to the right of the SE swamp where the path/road lies. Good luck hunting them, my aim is terrible so i have trouble catching either of those, and i'm not sure but i dont think you can outrun them on ground lol
