EVRIMA: Dinosaur Possibilities?
What dinosaurs do you think would be awesome to have added in? I really want the devs to add the Ankylosaurus to Evrima or some kind of sauropod. I'm sure they'll come with problems as always though

Brachiosaurus and T-rex. These are "mandatory" :D

The Devs have planned to incorporate over 50 species in Evrima

Big carnivores and herbivores are in high demand. For example T-Rex and Triceratops are one of the most popular dinosaurs ever ( not only among The Isle fans ). So I think it would boost this game popularity if they started adding those " popular big guys " to Evrima ASAP.
It's a little bit sad they are not even on roadmap yet, so 2024 is probably closest date untill we might see any of them.

Personaly, I would love to see dinosaurs smaller or bigger but with unique playstyles and gameplay mechanics. Stuff like Dryos with their burrows or perhaps Hypsi could be able to climb trees ? etc.

Non combat oriented dinosaurs need to have something special so there is reason to play them. Ptera can fly ( pro ) but sucks at combat ( con ) - this is perfect example of making dinosaur that people pick for different reason than just stats. BoB did huge mistake of making flyers competitive in combat and everyone hates it. The Isle team has much better understanding of why certain species are in the game and they should continue doing that.

So this is what I'm waiting for. Every dinosaur is welcomed as long there is good reason to play it.

The devs have already stated they won’t be adding in stuff like that until later because it would throw off the current ecosystem balance way too much. Carno is overtuned and Dieno is undertuned to fit this niche, so what you’d be getting are unrealistically weak apex should they be added now.

The next herbivore I wish for would be the Para - this creature is just beautiful and majestic. Can perhaps be classified well between Pachy and Stego.

Big dinosaurs would need some movement tuning for sure as well. Those forest sections are gonna be a pain for anything as big as a rex

i would kill for a glider, something that climbs trees/cliffs and jumps off for a brief moment of gliding. would 100% lose altitude faster than ptera but also be much more capable on ground. would make for lovely ambush scenarios. archaeoraptor is one that comes to mind

I’d like to see The Isle create their own mutant dinosaur, like lndoraptor, to fill a niche not really available with the “normal” dinos. Not something overpowered as to be classified as a “mutant”, but more like a small dino with a unique ability. A ranged attack, camouflage, stuff like that. It could be genetically based off a normal dino, but whatever they spliced it with gives it this unique ability.

it would be nice if they added some larger AI dinos for atmosphere as well as replaced all modern animals AI and made a dinotopia DLC with a more authentic feel to it.

I personally don't like mutant dinosaurs. I prefer the "natural" ecosystem without any kind of human interference type of stuff.

Indoraptor was the most recent reference to this concept, but I was actually thinking about how crazy the Carnotaurus was in the old Lost World Arcade Shoooter. I guess the developers of that game saw the horns and thought of a chameleon.
