Stealing food from nests

Now, I haven't actually come across a nest that was not mine but of another species that has the same diet (carni/herbi), so I don't know if it is possible yet, but if it isn't... A suggestion for future updates would be to be able to steal food from unattended nests.

I was a small utah hatchling that came upon an unattended nest and it would turn out to belong to a gallimimus. No option for stealing food from the nest appeared, but then I realized that it was just logical because gallis are herbivores and utahs are carnivores, so it wouldn't have made any sense to find slabs of meat in their nest anyway. But let me ask you this then.... IS it possible to steal food from same-diet dinos? Because if it isn't, it should be.

I mean, at least for stray hatchlings that need to survive, it could be a sufficient challenge to try and loot nests if they ever come upon them. :)

Well u can eat from other herb nest . that's not your parent. So guess u can

You can only eat from a nest as a hatchling so stealing food from other nests wouldn't be a thing.

Bummer...that actually sounds like it would be a good idea..so maybe in the future...and stealing/eating eggs....several smaller breeds of dinos raided nests and ate the eggs/young of other dinos.

in sandbox i am eating from dinosaurs nests a lot when i am an orodromeus

I think some certain smaller animals and maybe the gallil should be capable of doing this

Yeah, especially considering the fact that a lot of smaller dinos were in fact ovivores, egg-eaters. Hatchlings might have a very difficult time, but juvies could also be included as able to eat from nests for that reason, at least juvies of smaller breeds. I think there is a pretty immersive mechanic here just waiting to be thought up. ^^
