Deino Ripples
I had heard that as a deino you can make the same ripples that fish do to try and snatch ptera. Is this true? And if so how?

Hmmm...I tried that but it didn't seem to work...Q is the scent button right? I only ask as I use a controller but I definitely tried scent under water.., the alt button too...or ate you unable to see the ripples you make if you adjust the camera above the water?

Hold Q whilst laying on the bottom (water walking).

its takes longer to trigger than scent, the only requirement is youre underwater and not moving when you do it

Holding down RMB will have you skim the surface, but just because a ripple is in the area it doesn't mean a fish is close enough to you to catch it. The fish can sometimes swim to far down for you to detect or are in another location within the general vicinity of the ripple, so it may take you a few passes to get the prompt to release RMB and catch a fish.

Ahhh ok thanks 😊 I need to keep trying. Have never got the message yet either I'm circling the water coming up with nothing or falling into the water lol. Willbe a bit before can try again as lost my adult ptera.

I don't think you actually lose stam when you are skimming the water with RMB, so there is no need to wait too long before fishing is a viability. Maybe 10 minutes of growth from new spawn and you are good to go. But of course, if you are a young Petra, gain your stam before fishing in case you do fall in, or if you catch a fish have enough stam to fly away to someplace safe to eat.

With my utah, I jumped and body blocked a ptera swooping down to try and get me. Stopped them dead in their tracks. The collision was both humorous and very wrong looking lol.

You can't skim and fish as a fresh ptera? That explains my frustration lol. I mean, I wasn't hungry, just practicing/learning.
