Multiple Slots?
Wondering if the developers would ever consider multiple slots. WITH cooldowns when switching critters especially carni to herbi and flyer to non flyer.

I know multiple people would be interested in this and before update 3 there were a few private servers that Were able to add in their own save slot system with no issues so why not an official way.

Beasts of Bermuda has been running with six slots for awhile now, and many on their forums advocate for more. I think six is plenty and we could actually do with less on the Isle at least with the current playable roster.

What do you all think? How long of a cooldown would you recommend?

I think the cooldown should be larger if switching factions or going from a smaller creature to a larger creature. Or possibly even age based? The older the creature the longer the timer? Meaning switching from a fully grown creature to a juvenile would have a shorter cooldown than switching to a fully adult creature (unless switching to a flyer or another faction).

Tldr: Suggesting a save slot system WITH cooldown timer when switching creatures.

i think you should have 1 dino per server just the way it is. how do you even balance an ecosystem when half or more of the dinos are in storage waiting to be pulled out? can you imagine people parking their stegos at the south pond and then flying around on their ptera waiting for deino to show up? even with a cooldown those deino arent going to be going far. surprise stego appears at just the right time. no thanks

The same logic of dying, and immediately going back to the same area can be used. The same way there is a cooldown to prevent players from going to the same exact place can be used with dinosaur slots. Sure, you can go switch your playables with fury, but what is the point when there is a cool down countdown of 300 seconds. Plenty of time for the opposer to get out of the area, and not enough time for the aggravated triggered salty player to pull an uno reverse card. Plus, even better, why not just prevent the new slotted dinosaur from going to the same area as well?

Hmmmm interesting point about the ecosystem.

I wasn't soo much thinking of avoiding death and trying to kill people (though others do..hence proposing cooldowns) I'm approaching more from wanting to play multiple critters. I like to switch off sometimes. Why I LOVED sandbox on legacy. It wasn't the whole avoid death penalty soo much as could easily switch to a different creature on a whim.

Though regarding the ecosystem it's not really balanced at the moment and never really had been what with mist players playing carni. I think I read something saying that was why devs planning on an AI ecosystem or at least were...not sure if that is still the plan.
