How to defend against raptors?

So yeah, im a new player. Playing carno. Whenever i run into a raptor , it jumps on my back, i run around in circles for a few seconds and then im dead... Is there any defence against that?

You can hold E to attempt to buck them off (it will start draining their stamina faster, which eventually makes them fall off, however it will drain your own stamina too).
You can also jump into the water or try to make them hit a tree to force them fall off as well.

Optionally, I do believe you can get someone else to bite them while they're on you, too.
If you're packing with a second adult carno, they can kill the raptor faster than it can kill you. However you need to be careful that they don't hit you as well.

I am new player as well. My baby Deino get killed by utahraptor on my back. Press E to shake them off? If not. Could you please advise me? Thanks.

Do you know what weight you were?

Some animals won't have the option to buck if the weight is to great.

I mean do you know what weight you were in that instance. How many kilograms? What was you growth?

It was 25%. I have fully growth deino now. I wonder how can I fight those little creature. Can I press E to shake them off?

The pounce is probably gonna go through several tweaks as the roster expands. The current stats and abilities of all the dinos are pretty much balanced around this being our only current selection, so as we get more dinos more balance passes will be made.

You can stand near a tree then they can't Pounce you. As a small Carno without a group you should also rather stay hidden until you are about 60% then even a single raptor cant do much against you.
