The large water areas are pretty much all tied to each other through rivers. You’re likely smelling only specific points rather than the nearest boundary of water, so even if you’re at the water the nearest “scent point” might not be at this spot.
As for bushes, those are spread out and harder to find. Seeing as how you don’t actually need them and it’s impossible to starve thanks to grazing I think the current layout will make more sense when they add the diet system. The current spawning of bushes is most likely related to what they have planned for the diet system, but more than enough to “tide us over” until that system is released.
I don't think you really understood my post.
I know how scent/bushes/water work, they were working for me perfectly fine yesterday. I'm well aware of how the scent system currently works in EVRIMA. However, today, it has not been working as it normally does, every single other day I play.
As for being a "me" problem, I specifically said that others were having the same problem in the server I was in.
Bushes simply are not being picked up by scent, even when I know where one is. 4 people in my herd could stand in the same spot and smell 5 different bushes from where they were, and then me and 3 others could stand in that same spot and smell nothing. It seems to be completely random.
I reset my game multiple times, reset my router, reset my computer, even reinstalled the game about an hour ago to no avail.
It also appears to be a solely herbivore issue.
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.
Sounds like your Saved folder is corrupted.
Why are you so salty?
I hope the fix Punch gave you helped, if not, try grazing to hang in for now.
I'm basically computer illiterate so I have no idea why this is or what it means, but at least I can find bushes again on my own. I just have to play at 1080 instead of 4K. A problem with my new monitor, pixels, colours, I don't know. But it's fixed now.
