Not sure what you mean, but in legacy they had a N,W,E or S to show the direction you are facing.
~~~~~v~~~~~ is South.
East and West can be surmised from this information easily. If you're facing north, which direction is west, Beebee73? If you said to the left, you're absolutely correct. You are also correct in saying that you need to know where north and south is using the current compass to know where west and eat is, as well. Not as telly as the old system, but it works.
Ok will give it another go...tried it earlier as a test with the vulnoa map...but using the north/south of the 'compass' I wasn't heading in the direction I wanted.
To test this in-game, you could choose the north spawn area, and see if you hit the beach going north.
Ahh ok thanks! Will use that to test then rather than the map. To be clear, especially as I'm VERY directionally challenged lol, the ^ should be in the CENTER of the wavy line in order to be heading north?
No I meant does the ^ need to be CENTERED on the line. Besides using a possibly outdated map when I was testing I may not have had it in exact center of line the whole time which could have ALSO caused me to veer off course a bit.
For those unfamiliar the Ptera is an excellent tool to learn the mountains with.
Yup, centred! :) Just like in legacy you centred the N, W, E and S letters.
Thanks will give it another test shot with something other than the online map. As was stated earlier my test may have been off by an outdated map and will be sure the points are centered exactly too to be sure of my direction!
Thanks again!
