Above water should be blurry to Deino unless it's eyes are above it right?
It's pretty silly for the Deino to be able to get a crystal clear picture of the world above the water when it's fully submerged in a murky swamp. I think it should get some sort of blurred visual, but until it's eye breach the surface, it shouldn't be able to get a clear picture.

How is it going to ambush dinos if it can't see them, and if it goes to the surface to see it's cover is blown.

Gameplay > Realism

How do crocodiles do it in real life?

You have the blue rings to specifically locate things in the water.
You would still see shapes/colours/shadows, depending on how blurry it was you'd still be able to distinguish individual creatures, they would just need to get closer to the water first.

Personally, I wouldn't want it to be too blurry, but enough that you would need to sneak closer to get a better look.

In my mind you would still be able to tell it's a pteranadon flying above you. But if there was a collection of tenontosaurus on shore they'd partially blend with one another, you'd need to get closer to individually pick/count them out.

nictating membranes. it's basically an extra eyelid that's transparent and covers the eye underwater. for max realism, underwater vision for crocs should be a little blurry.

They also blend in really well when they're sneaking up on their prey. Their eyes are usually above water and they move super slow, but the water is swampy/mossy so they're hard to spot.
