Schools of fish

It can't be that you can't find any more schools of fish. As a Pteranodon there is no chance of survival. I want to play a game that works. It's not really fun anymore.

Kill dryo's. Ptera is one of the easiest dino's to find dryos with. Just fly around you'll find all the dryo that get stuck in weird places.

Scavenge. Kill other ptera.

You suck at the game.

Fish schools have become MUCH more rare but they are still in the game. You may have to search for a while until you find a school but they are there. Good luck.

Schools don't respawn. They are usually there after a server restart, but if you stay on the server for hours and hours you will notice, as people slowly eat the fish, that literally every river will eventually have no fish, until the next server restart. Same goes for elite fish also.

Seems that way, however you don't need fish to survive.

Jumped in today, managed several in game days as a ptera, very healthy until the server went down. Hunt dryo (which is hard, they constantly run), grab a few juvies and roam the map. Take advantage of opportunities.

you're not understanding spawns. as we know from a few patches ago, fish are in the same spawn pool as the AI dryos (the issue a few patches ago was that all the fish were spawning, thus blocking dryo spawns.)

as it stands, it is possible, but very unlikely, the same thing can happen in reverse.

if you're not finding fish, you need to wait for the fish you cannot find to be fished out/ despawn, or for someone to kill a dryo and the server not replace it with another dryo.

Whatever it is, it's a bug.

They could be spawning out of the play area too. Yesterday I found a Dryo very very high up in the sky thousands of feet altitude.
