Newbie question on nesting

Hi all, I was playing on survival server which had nesting enabled. I was invited to nest and pressed F1 to accept.The screen disappeared but nothing happened.Is there something else i have to do to spawn at a nest.Also is it only adult females who can spawn a nest or do you need male and female. Regards

You have to respawn or progress and click the nest option to spawn in another player's nest

Thanks for the reply, i built a nest and got an egg.when i invited another player he received the invite and pressed F1 to accept but the screen disappeared and nothing happened.It was suggested by some people in game that although nesting may be enabled in a survival game because there is no progression screen you cannot spawn in. Has anyone actually successfully spawned in to a nest in a survival game and if so a step by step guide to accepting a nest invite would be much appreciated.regards

Only way I know to spawn in nest in survival is to suicide and then press nest on the menu. Devs should make it easier so u don't need to suicide...

Press ESC wait until the "progression" tab timer runs out, click on it then on the bottom right click on nest. This comes AFTER you press f1 to accept a nest invite.

That's on prog server. That doesn't work on survival, not atleast that I know of since I've tried to nest my sister on survival server.

Thanks for the replies, i ve managed to nest in survivor mode. I won t make a guide as i m sure the mechanism will be refined soon.
To nest in SURVIVOR mode.
1. When you receive a nest invite presss F1, the invite screen will then disappear.
2. You now need to kill your current dinosaur.(this will probably be the one time it becomes hard to die)
3. You will return to the dinosaur selection screen and on the lower right of the screen you will see a nest button.Click on this. You can choose whether to be male or female before you select NEST.

hope this helps as it took me ages to piece the whole process together. Regards

you don't have to kill your current dinosaur. You can click the 'nest' button anyways, and will just spawn in as that new dinosaur. Just thought I'd clear that up!

Is that on the survivor mode because the only place i ve seen the NEST button is on the main menu (where you select carno or rex) and the only way i can get to that menu is by becoming extinct.Could you tell me where the nest button is ingame because that would save a lot of hassle.Regards

for survival you might have to, as you will not be able to access the progression screen without it AFAIK.
